My Story

I'm so lucky to be married to my high school sweetheart, we always knew we would have kids someday. However, "someday" arrived way quicker than we had anticipated.

After giving birth to my first child, I was completely caught off guard, which sent me into severe postpartum depression. There are so many things women experience during pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood that are often left unsaid. I started to really dislike motherhood, and I felt embarrassed because it seemed like no one else was experiencing the same sentiments.

After about a year, I started to feel like a new version of myself that I could be happy with, until unexpectedly, I got pregnant again. This time, I decided to be proactive instead of reactive and prepare myself for this journey in a completely different way. And what I noticed was, it wasn't as miserable. I then began to help other moms not go through similar experiences as I did with my first child.

I started to hear God speaking to me, telling me to be more transparent about my experience and to help other moms. And now, He's truly turned my misery into my ministry, and today, we have Making Me a Mommy.
